The lid of a SUZUTSU is shortened, so that the cherry bark around the inner cylinder emerges like a belt and creates a clear accent to enhance the color of the wood and the coating of the outer cylindrical layers. While it is a novel design, this tea caddy takes full advantage of the materials and crafting techniques peculiar to cherry bark ware.
The inner cylinder is covered with cherry bark and you can enjoy the contrast of the inner and outer cylinders when you open it.
